Bio of Daniel L. Abrams
Daniel L. Abrams practices law in the areas of legal malpractice, and other commercial litigation.
Mr. Abrams received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1995 where he was an Olin Fellow of Law and Economics. He has since practiced in the commercial litigation departments of Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson and Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, both top law firms in New York City. At Fried Frank, he received an award in recognition of his pro bono service on behalf of a plaintiff in an employment discrimination case. He is licensed to practice law in New York State, and is a member of The NYS Bar Association,and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where he served on the Professional Responsibility Committee and the Subcommittee on Lawyer Promotion and Advertising from 2004-2007. He has lectured for the Practicing Law Institute, where he has taught other attorneys about issues relating to legal ethics. He has also appeared as a guest lecturer at Suffolk University Law School on legal ethics and provided expert testimony on legal ethics and malpractice. He is also a member of the bar of the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, Second Circuit United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit United States Court of Appeals, and Tenth Circuit United States Court of Appeals.
